Thumbs up for b and d
A simple visual for students to determine the direction of "b" and "d." I usually have my students give themselves two thumbs up. Then we start with singing the alphabet, starting with "a." When they say "b," I have them lift up their left thumbs up. Then continue the song and lift up the right thumbs up when they get to "d." No need to continue the alphabet song...unless you want to! I've also included a picture of a beach ball and a donut to add to the visual representation!
