In the past, I used something similar (strips of construction paper) to motivate my students to buy-in to our district tests. These are a lot cuter. During the test, I just walk around and stamp, or place a sticker, on their slip if I see them using a good testing strategy. Students with ten stickers at the end of testing received a reward. I love trying to find ways to reach all of the learners I teach. I want learning to be fun, authentic, and meaningful.

I received my B.A. in Ethnic Studies/Sociology and Multiple Subjects/Bilingual/Cross-Cultural teaching credential from the University of California, Riverside. I also received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I am a proud mom of two phenomenal young adults. I love to cook, bake, camp, hike, and read!
