About the store

Experience

27 years teaching grammar, writing, and literature with all ability levels, grades 7 through 14.

Teaching style

Although I use varied styles, depending on the learning style and subject matter, my favored teaching style is a modified Socratic method. That is, ask and encourage many questions and seek to integrate ideas and skills within and across the disciplines.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Formal recognition include the usual from a district with which one is associated for 24 years. The honors and awards are given by former students who contact me throughout the years, going out of their way to say, "Thank you."

My own education history

Master of Arts, English.
