Teaching style
I am passionate about building relationships with my students, and I know that in order to have an effective classroom with the space to grow, lesson purpose and structure are essential. All of my lessons are research and standards based and highly structured so students best understand the WHY behind everything they do. Lessons are scaffolded to build background knowledge and tap into prior knowledge. Lessons push student thinking and challenge them while being highly engaging. Lessons always end with a way for teachers and students to reflect and assess what they know.

I attended Oswego State University where I received my B.A. in Secondary Education with an English concentration. I earned my Masters degree in English Education from Albany State University.
