This puzzle has students set up the trigonometric ratios sine, cosine, and tangent for 5 triangles. They do not have to calculate any side or angle measurements. This is designed to have students figure out when they should be solving for sides and when they should be solving for angles. They have to work their way through the puzzle to get to the bottom in order to solve for x and y. It requires using the trigonometric functions sine, cosine, and tangent. It also requires using the Pythagorean Theorem. It makes a nice challenge for the students! It can be a good review for pre-calculus or trig students.
