About the store
I have been teaching for over seventeen years and have taught multiple subjects and specialties from pre-K to adult learners. I am certified in 12 subjects, so you will not be bored learning with me. I currently teach a 9-12 CTAE Pathway for Engineering and Technology at Arabia Mountain High School, so I am a literacy E-STEAM teacher, and I love it because I get to incorporate my training in Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math within a literacy framework.

The purpose of this assignment is to get students to think about career choices and how to approach applying for employment. In this task, the student will choose one of four scenarios, and they will choose a job that pays over $46,000 to apply for using indeed.com. They will then make a resume that fits that scenario, and apply for a job with their real name and a fake work history that they create based off of the chosen scenario.

Intro to Technology : What is Technology? (NO Prep)
This an excellent STEM mini lesson and work period activity that will take 40-50 minutes of class time to give students a broader understanding of technology. The mini lesson should take approximately 15-20 minutes to present and deliver because there are a few slides that require the students to copy information down in their notebook to show that they are comprehending and paying attention.

Narrative Writing vs. Informative or Expository Writing
This would be a good mini lesson for explaining the difference between narrative writing versus expository or informative writing. It is a cover page (graphic) and a one page reference sheet comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the two. I thought that I would share it with the Teachers Pay Teachers world because it is a fun activity that forces the students to understand hydraulics or fluid power technology. It also uses recycled and inexpensive materials to create a fun and practical product.
