Valentine John 3:16 Acrostic Craft

This is a cute craft to make with your kids in a church or church school setting. Your kids cut and glue the letters to spell VALENTINE vertically through the words of the Bible verse John 3:16. I have included a photo but the flash distorted the colors, much better in person. The teacher can print the main page in color or copy it in black and white onto a colored paper. Each letter in the word VALENTINE is on it's own page. There are 30 hearts on each page. You can copy eac

Flower Power Alphabet Game (letter or sound recognition)

This is a great alphabet game for a small group. Students can name the letter, letter sound, or word that starts with the letter. It is an active game and activates the brain. This game is ideal for pre-k, kindergarten, RTI groups, English language learners, and special education. Kids take turns drawing a card and naming the letter, sound or word if they draw a "bee" then the whole group pops up and starts to buzz. My kids ask to play this game everyday.

You can also work on 11-15 and 16-20. My students love this game because they are actively participating. They get to roll the large number cube and they get to dot paint the numbers that are rolled. This game also works on reading a graph. After we play this as a teacher led game several times then

About the store

Experience

I am currently teaching kindergarten. I taught pre-k for twelve years and 1st grade for three years. I have taught in five different school districts and one private preschool. I have taught many autistic and special needs students in my regular education classes.

Teaching style

My teaching style is moderately structured. Kids thrive on routine so they need that structure they can depend on. I also love teaching integrated subjects revolving around a theme. I love to watch kids make connections between subjects and to their personal experiences. I think that the kids get so much more out of it when they are surrounded by a theme.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Our campus has a starfish award. It represents the person that picks up the stranded starfish and tosses them back into the ocean, of course it is referring to children in regards to our school. This award goes to the teacher who has the most co-worker nominations. I have received this award on two separate occasions.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from West Texas State University. I have an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education for the Handicapped.

Additional biographical information

I am the mother of four, 25 and 16 year old boys and 23 and 20 year old girls. I am also the wife of a teacher/coach and daughter of two teachers. I have a long history in education.
