"You Make Hard Things Easy!", as one of my First Graders once wrote to me. Find Tips and Tricks to help your students understand and master the trickiest Reading and Math concepts, while focusing on Social Emotional Learning along the way. As a First Grade Teacher and Interventionist utilizing MTSS/RTI strategies, I've been developing techniques and motivators for my young students. The Science of Reading has been my ELA focus throughout my career. You can find many resources here that support phonemic awareness, phonics and explicit and systematic reading instruction. Intervention opportunities and fun supplemental practice activities for ELA and MATH allow students to develop confidence in their newly acquired skills. Classroom Management and SEL have also been an area of focus as well.
