Experience

I teach in the public school system and my experience includes teaching kindergarten, first grade, and Special Education. My resources come from working with my students as they have lead me on my learning journey to develop resources that build their understanding. Together we learn, laugh, and have fun.

Teaching style

I believe humor and hands-on activities lead to a love for learning!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I believe the greatest honor that I have and continue to receive is from my students when they take the time to draw me their favorite picture, write me a love note, or in later years, tell me that I was their favorite teacher while elaborating on their memories.

My own education history

Bachelor's Degree in Primary General Education (K-6th grade) and Special Education (K-12). Master's Degree in Elementary Curriculum. Certification in S.M.A.R.T. Curriculum (Stimulating Maturity through Accelerated Readiness Training)

Additional biographical information

I serve on many committees to support our school. I serve as our site Staff Development chair, the district Staff Development chair, and also help and support a variety of other committees. My heart supports all of my co-workers as TOGETHER we create and support the learning environment for our students (teachers, paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, and administration).
