To help improve the reading comprehension of our students, we created these weekly reading logs. Every week, our reading series focuses on one reading strategy. We send a different reading log home that matches that strategy and have the kids turn them in on Friday. Accompanying each reading log is a half-sheet of each reading log so that you can model the strategy in class on Monday, send it home with the kids, and have them complete the reading log independently at home. This file comes with commands, questions, statements, and exclamations that the students can sort. Copy the headings and sentences onto cardstock, cut, then laminate for durability. Once the kids are done sorting, they are to copy four of each kind of sentence onto the attached worksheet.
