Welcome to Tanya Rae Teaches! With a deep passion for education and over 19 years of teaching experience, I create high-quality, engaging resources for primary classrooms. My journey in education includes five years of teaching 5th grade in Atlanta, GA, and near Madison, WI, two years as a substitute teacher, and over ten years of teaching 2nd grade in my hometown in Northern Wisconsin.
In addition to my classroom experience, I am certified in Theater Education and recently became a certified High School Forensics Adjudicator. My store offers a variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, grammar, and classroom management. Each resource is thoughtfully designed to help busy teachers make learning fun and impactful for their students.

This is a great resource for a writing workshop following Lucy Calkins Units of Study writing Personal Narratives. One of Lucy's units teaches students to write about small moments vs. the entire experience. Pocket Poems
These adorable Pocket Poems can be used anytime of year. I have my students write a poem of their choice after we have learned about several types of poems. We display them during our annual Poetry Café! Simply print (I prefer shades of blue paper to resemble denim), staple or glue the sides, and insert a poem. I've included paper with lines and without.
