Welcome to my store! I've been an educator for over 20 years, teaching students in 1st through 4th grade, and I currently serve as an elementary Reading Specialist. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about helping every child become a confident, successful learner. Context Clues from AAMU to Zimulis-this lesson is done with an interesting book by Jon Scieszka. The printable is a booklet that the students can fill out as you read the book aloud. They use context clues ) to 'decode' the unfamiliar words. The 'mystery' words are from other languages.

Name Tags with Glyph and Writing Assignment
This is a great back to school activity or engaging writing lesson.
I have my students make their name tags on the first day of school. It is a 'stand up' style name tag that I can see easily as I learn their names. I have included several other options that you can also use. I use them for the first week or two, and if I need to move a student to another desk, they simply take their name tag with them.

This is a SAMPLING OF A 5 activity printable ideal for independent word work stations or centers. It focuses on the 'ea' spelling pattern. It would be a great addition to Daily 5, to supplement your ELA curriculum, or to review the 'ea'spelling pattern.
