I am trained in structured literacy approaches, including Orton-Gillingham (IMSLEC certified) and the Wilson Reading System (Level 1 Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner). My goal is to use both research and classroom experience to create practical resources that help teachers provide meaningful reading support for their students.

Teaching style

I strongly believe in explicit, systematic instruction and the use of structured literacy to support struggling readers. My resources are designed to give students the repeated, intentional practice they need to build confidence and accuracy in early reading skills.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Helping struggling readers experience the moment when decoding “clicks” is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Seeing students gain confidence as they realize they can read is what inspires me to create resources for other teachers.

My own education history

• Certified Reading Specialist • M.S.Ed. in Special Education • B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education • Orton-Gillingham Certified (IMSLEC) • Wilson Reading System – Level 1 Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner

Additional biographical information

I am also a proud mother of three wonderful sons. My husband is a middle school teacher, so education is truly a family passion in our home!
