The form tells students where and how to organize their ideas. If it is used with Grades 2-3, students can work on just paragraph structure. If it is used with Grades 4-5, students can use this one paragraph to help write a 5-paragraph essay! It is also great for Special Needs students.

As I have moved grade levels, I've enjoyed learning so many new things. I really believe that consistent innovation and studying makes teaching one of the most exciting jobs out there! Teaching style

I choose to be open-minded as a professional and don't mind to go forth without a plan at times. If I try something and it doesn't work, I try again. I encourage kids to work together and try to stay organized so I can keep things rolling smoothly. I like to turn many things we study into games and activities so the learning can happen in a fun way.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was nominated Teacher of the Year at my school and strive to be innovative and creative in everything I do.

My own education history

I got my undergrad degree from Maryville College in Child Development for Teacher Licensure K-6. I have also obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Lincoln Memorial University. I am currently going back to school for my Education Specialist Degree.

Additional biographical information

I am happily married to another teacher and we enjoy gabbing about school and having very blessed vacation time together.
