Description
"Whole numbers can be fractions?!?!?" My class had being doing a great job mastering fractions until this topic stumped them! These resources (task cards, matching cards, fractions puzzle, and game) were created to assist my class. I divided my class up and had some of the class work on the task cards while the other groups worked on the matching cards and puzzle and then another group was playing the game. This lessens the traffic in the classroom or hallway and it allows me to get around to each of the students individually to see where their struggles are. It was a major turning point in mastering fractions as whole numbers. Not only did the students work with a partner and have someone to bounce ideas off of, but it helped me as a teacher because I better understood what they were thinking (where their mistakes were).
