Your upper elementary students can practice using all 4 basic math operations with these unique Valentine-themed task cards! They'll strengthen their math fluency and build number sense!! You get 36 full-color cards with an ink-saving black and white version included!

Students pick a number from the heart, then "climb the ladder", applying each of the calculations on the ladder steps to that number. When they reach the top, they have a final answer. Prep is easy: just copy, laminate, and cut! One prep and you'll use them for years!

Each card uses the four math operations. They're perfect for upper elementary grades!

The full-color cards are perfect for centers. The black and white cards work great as independent work.

I laminated these and had my math tutoring students work on this. It took some explaining and demonstrating for them to understand what they were to do. Once they understood how to use the cards it was a great method to practice math fluency in a fun method.
