Description
To help build numeracy, show the Power Point by projecting it to your white board if possible. Ask students, "How many dots? How many empty frames? How many all together?" This helps students master facts within 10. It is also a "shared reading" by having a helper point to the words as students read them once the routine has been established. I "shuffle" the slides to keep it fresh. The blank slides between ten frames are so that you can "flash" the 10 frame (by manually forwarding from one blank frame to the next) when students get better at subitizing.
