There are lesson plans, PowerPoints and writing frames for 4 different properties of materials investigations. The investigations are about how Waterproof, Transparent, Strong and Absorbent different materials are.

Each lesson begins with a PowerPoint (like the one in the preview) which introduces 'Teddy' to the children and explains why he needs them to do an investigation. Each investigation helps the children to choose the best material for a part of Teddy's house.

The investigation writing frame is only one page long and is basic enough for 1st and 2nd grade children to complete.

By the end of the 4 lessons, the children should have completed Teddy's house.
