Description

Celebrate the 100th day with these 8 math investigations. Each activity begins with a guiding question to focus the investigation and then invites young learners to use simple Guess and Check boxes to make and test predictions and record outcomes.

Each recording sheet, also includes math talk questions to support you in expanding on the investigation and to help children reflect and discuss the outcomes of each activity.

Investigation Questions Include:

  • Which is longer 100 straws or 100 craft sticks?
  • How much space will 100 drops of water take up?
  • In 100 dice rolls, which number will appear most often?
  • Which weighs more 100 pieces of popped or unpoppped corn?
  • How many times can you clap in 100 seconds?
  • Which jar holds 100?
  • How far is 100 steps?
  • Can your boat hold 100 pennies without sinking?
