My students did floated 100 pennies on our 100th day. They were all very excited to see how many they could get on their "boats" before they sank. It was good for distance learning because it mostly used supplies that they already had at home. Some didn't have pennies so they floated 100 other items - legos, jelly beans, and bingo markers were a few of the things they used.
