My kids have gone crazy over these notes and when I began searching for Social Studies related ones, I quickly found that very few exist. You can use these notes with a powerpoint presentation, where students just fill in the vital information about the colonies while you explain the rest. My class uses this as a WebQuest activity where they search the web to find the who, what, where, when, why, and how of the colonies. The students enjoy being able to doodle along with the page and coloring. I had forgotten how fond of coloring the kids could be at any age!
