Description

These math logic puzzle worksheets are perfect for gifted and talented Kindergarten, 1st Grade & 2nd Grade students who need an extra challenge. Great for math centers, enrichment, or morning work! These printables are no prep & a life saver for those students in your room who always seem to finish their math work super quickly!

This bundle includes my Level 1 AND Level 2 Math Brain Teasers, for a total of 8 products and 112 pages of math puzzles! The Level 1 versions are fun and challenging and a great way to introduce these kinds of puzzles and get them thinking. The Level 2 set is a bit more challenging, and students will have to really flex their math brain muscles to solve.

I put these puzzles in clear pockets in my classroom and put them in a bin where my students know where to find them. That way, when they are done with their math work they can simply go to a bin, and take one of these puzzles to work on! If they finish, they just erase it and grab another one. Easy & no prep! Getting the bundle gives you lots of choices to swap out so your students never get bored.

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Understand subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 – 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8.
Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
