Description
Tired of copying morning work papers every week? Raise your hand! Me too! So, to cure this problem, I project my morning work for my students on my whiteboard and they compete their morning work in a marble composition notebook - no more copies - save the trees!
I have been using my 2nd Grade Projectable Morning Work for the past two years and have very much enjoyed being able to review some of those “little” skills such as alphabetical order, compound words, and more.
After many requests, I have created a 1st Grade set and 3rd Grade set. The set up is the same as my 2nd Grade set and I have included a sample “set-up” page in the preview and your purchased download.
This morning work is a spiral of concepts. Some concepts will be repeated all year - beginning to end - approximately every 10 days.
Each day, students will write the date and how many days of school it is. Then they will complete 2 ELA and 2 Math tasks. These tasks gradually get more difficult throughout the year. The first 6 weeks of the 1st grade set will include some tasks twice in a 10 day spiral. This is done, in part, to help students learn the expectations with very similar tasks.
Each day also includes a joke of the day. These jokes of the day are the same in the 3rd grade set.
Learning from a Distance or Virtually? I have included a folder with images of each day's morning work so that you can easily upload these to your Google Classroom or Virtual Learning Class Space each day so students can complete these at home as well.
To see what is included and get a sample of the first 5 days, download the preview above. Sample pages throughout the year are also included so that you can get a better look at how the skills progress throughout the year.
