1st Grade Task Cards - Dot Addition Math

These task cards are a great way to reinforce several critical 1st grade math skills. They combine subitizing practice with addition, and would be a great addition to math centers or whole class math practice. The number sentences are structured two different ways. The children must either fill in the missing number or find the sum. The numbers reviewed are 1-20 with dot formations from 1-10.

The set includes:
12 Fill in the Missing Number Cards
12 What is the Difference Cards
Recording Sheet
Answer Sheet

Print, cut and laminate the cards for repeated use. The recording sheet can be printed as needed.

If you find these helpful you may also like my FREE Dot Subtraction 1st Grade Task Cards.

I hope your kids enjoy them, and let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

Thanks!!

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
