Description

Two-Digit Addition Task Cards, Assessments, Activities & Games includes practice activities to help your students solidify their understanding of how to add two-digit numbers using multiple strategies. This resource includes two-digit addition with regrouping and two-digit addition without regrouping.

Do your students struggle with two-digit addition? Are they struggling with the concept of adding larger numbers?

Included are four levels of two-digit addition equations that move from simple to complex:

➟ Adding 10s

➟ Adding 10s & one 1

➟ Without Regrouping

➟ With Regrouping

Also included are pre-/post-assessments and quick-assessments to monitor progress along the way. You can differentiate instruction based on what a student can and cannot add.

There are four main strategies that are practiced through the activities in this packet:

➟ Use a Number Line

➟ Use Base-10 Blocks

➟ Break Apart (Ungroup) one or both addends

➟ Tens to Tens & Ones to Ones.

Activities and strategies are repeated at each level so that students know the process and can apply it with different levels of two-digit addition equations.

All the cards are in black and white. Print the cards on colored paper and laminate. Students use whiteboard markers to do the problems, erasing when done so that other students can use the same problems.

These were really great to use as centres, or activities for partners to do together after they had finished their work. They were engaging and my students liked working on them.
