Two-Digit Subtraction Task Cards & Activities | With & Without Regrouping

Make two-digit subtraction meaningful and manageable with this comprehensive set of task cards and activities! Designed for 2nd and 3rd grade math centers, this resource provides four levels of scaffolded subtraction practice—ranging from subtracting tens to subtracting with regrouping across 100.

Students will build strong number sense and subtraction fluency using a variety of place value strategies, including open number lines, base-10 blocks, break-apart methods, and think-addition. Each strategy is practiced consistently across all levels to build confidence and deepen understanding.

Love the idea of the "levels" as kids progress through two-digit subtraction. The kids enjoyed knowing that they were moving up the levels. It was so helpful for me to have the task cards with the different methods being taught. They provided much quality practice for my students.
