Description

Help your students excel in double-digit multiplication with our multiplication 10 practice task cards designed for third and fourth graders. Featuring 300 task cards with 76 pages of diverse activities, these task cards promote learning through the enactive, iconic, and symbolic approaches, ensuring a deeper understanding of math concepts.

These cards focus on multiplication with units of 1, with multiples of 10, with single digit numbers x double digit numbers, and double digit numbers x double digit numbers.

There are 76 pages with different task cards, ready for your kids to solve each multiplication equation. This is a great way to practice CCSS with your students because it is differentiated to meet the needs of your students!!!

It varies in difficulty from:

  • basic skills that only require multiplying a one digit number by ten
  • intermediate skills that require multiplying a one digit number by a double digit number
  • advanced skills that require using the distributive property to break apart numbers into tens and ones to complete double digit by double digit multiplication

The task cards focus on multiplication by tens with a focus on following the sequence of instruction: enactive, iconic, and symbolic. This is a fun way to get students thinking critically about the skills they have learned and allows your students who are still needing hands-on manipulatives to count with ten sticks, while your advanced students can move to the symbolic cards (after showing mastery of the enactive and iconic).

You can use these as assessments (differentiated to meet where a student is at), in centers, as independent work, etc. Simply print the pages out and distribute to students as desired. This allows for differentiation as you can choose the easier task cards for struggling students and the more challenging task cards for students who need more of a challenge. For your students needing additional practice, start at the initial task cards, before progressing to the advanced skills task cards. If your students are already proficient with their multiplication skills, start them at the intermediate (iconic) or advanced (symbolic) task cards!
