Description

This resource, used in NC Math 3, covers the following key properties of polynomial function graphs: domain, range, increasing/decreasing intervals, positive/negative intervals, maximums/minimums, x-intercepts, and y-intercepts.

This BUNDLE includes 2 practice worksheets (20 total practice problems) plus 2 companion Quick Checks/Exit Tickets/Quizzes (8 additional assessment questions) for a total of 28 student questions. Polynomial functions are represented in multiple ways including factored form, standard form, and as graphs. Detailed color-coded solution keys are included for all student work.

The Key Features of Polynomials Practice Worksheet #1 Includes:

Questions 1-3: polynomial equation given in factored form

Questions 4-6: polynomial equation given in standard form

Questions 7 & 8: finding key features from a polynomial graph (no equation given)

Question 9: modified matching - describing intervals as positive, negative, increasing, and decreasing using each word once

Question 10: labeling all maximums & minimums (and identifying if absolute or relative) and roots of a provided graph; includes a critical thinking question asking whether it is reasonable to state one of the decreasing intervals is (0, 2)

Worksheet #1 Quick Check / Exit Ticket / Quiz Includes:

Question 1: quintic polynomial given in standard form

Question 2: finding key features from a polynomial graph (no equation given)

Thank you so much! I recently added 4 question practice set to each resource included in this bundle that are three ready-to-use versions (Exit Ticket, Quick Check, and Quiz). All three files include the same questions but are labeled differently to meet different classroom needs. Hopefully these also help your students!
