Description

Are you looking for a strategy to teach your students to help them solve word problems? This unit was designed to give students practice with using the Read, Draw, Write strategy to solve word problems. Students can use this strategy to help them work through any word problem!

The focus of this download is two-step word problems involving multiplication- perfect for 3rd grade or 4th graders who need extra support.

Download includes the following:

*8 two-step word problems

*Answer Key

Please note these word problems are designed to prepare students for the rigorous tests we administer, and thus the word problems are designed to require critical thinking. In effort to make students feel successful on these tests, I created this unit to give them some essential skills they can use when solving difficult word problems.

Thank you for this resource. I was able to use it to extend my kids with some attractively designed cards. Students commented on how they liked the scenarios. They asked could they insert their own names. Maybe you could design an editable version so this could happen?
