Focused virus lesson that aligns well with biology curriculum
Rated 5 out of 5

Viruses are one of those topics that students find interesting but hard to organize mentally, and these guided notes paired with the PowerPoint address that challenge directly. I used this when covering section 20.1 and the two components worked in sync throughout the lesson. Students filled in the notes as we moved through the slides, which kept them focused and gave them a structured reference to study from later. The lytic and lysogenic cycle comparisons were particularly clear and my students cited those sections specifically when studying for the unit exam. The content aligns well with major biology textbook sequences, which made it easy to integrate. I'd appreciate a couple more review questions at the end, but overall the quality is solid for the price. Biology teachers covering virus structure and reproduction will find this a reliable, print-and-go lesson package.
