Description

Classroom Poster—We Heart READING Collaboration Poster. Designed to decorate any classroom for your reading center, classroom library, or a school or public library. Kids across America love to read!

This poster is also great as a bulletin board or hallway display.

Children love these posters because they enjoy seeing the collaborative effort involved—each piece of the poster is essential—just like the child. This poster makes an excellent centerpiece for your bulletin boards or hallway displays as well!

You may also like my Theodor Seuss Geisel collaboration poster.

Collaboration Poster

*****GREAT FOR ANY AGE*****

This lesson is very easy for teachers (low prep) but so much fun for kids! Each student is given one page/piece of a large mosaic collaboration poster to color according to the instructions on the page. Once all sheets are colored and cut out, they are then assembled to reveal a large multi-colored mosaic/poster/mural that says "We Heart Reading."

Poster Details

• 30 pages

• 5 x 6 grid

• Final poster: Approx. 35 in. x 42 in. (depending on your printer settings).

• Colors needed in crayons, colored pencils, or markers–you will need red, blue, yellow, green, light blue, light green, purple, and orange

Some teachers like to show their students what they will be making (that is why I have included a final example), and others want to keep it a secret until the end for a really fun surprise!

Bonus Coloring Page

Collaborative posters are a lot of fun and teach children a great lesson about working together for the common good. However, at the end of the project, there is nothing for kids to take home to share with their families.

That is why I have included this bonus free coloring page that says "I Heart Reading," and kids can color it when they finish their piece of the poster and take it home to prompt them about this project.

It's also a nice touch to take a class photo in front of this poster and send copies of the picture home with the kids or put in their file, so they have a copy of their work and their class—I assure you they will never forget which piece of the final poster that they colored!

This is a nice display to have the kids work together to complete. I leave the message a mystery until they put the pieces together! It turns out super cute!
