2D Shapes for PowerPoint and Google Slides lesson will teach your students how to name and describe 2D shapes. This geometry digital bundle has engaging mini lessons and 4 different centers to help your students master identifying and naming 2D shapes figures and real world examples. Use the digital test prep pages to evaluate student progress. These 86 slides are FUN and easy to use for whole group lessons, independent math centers, and distant learning resources.

2-D Shapes for PowerPoint and Google Slides

Mini Lesson

  • Goal: I can name and describe 2-D shapes.
  • Names of the two dimensional shapes
  • Real World Examples
  • Number of Corners and Sides

4 Digital Centers

Game 1 - Name the 2D Shape

  • Students will be shown a 2D figure and match it to the correct name.
  • Students will be shown an object and name matching shape

Game 2 - Real Life Examples Sorting

  • Students will match the 2D shapes to real life examples.

Game 3 - 2D Shape Properties

  • Students will count the number of corners and side on each 2-D shape.

Game 4 - Decomposing 2D Shapes

  • Students will determine how many flat shapes were used in each picture.
