I hope this power point helps the children to understand the use of measurement data while completing a line plot. They use a tool to take a measurement and explain which tool should be used to take a specific measurement. They estimate length based on a

I am a tutor who constantly needs to provide review sheets, worksheets, extra practice activities, lesson plans etc..the students often come home with not much of a review when they have a test coming up. I quite often have to provide this for them. This review was exactly what I needed. It had everything covered! Thank you for making this review packet. It really helped the student, their parents and me put this chapter into a better perspective. Looking forward to downloading the rest of the chapters as I need them!

Estimate lengths using units of inches, feet, centimeters, and meters.
Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving lengths that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as drawings of rulers) and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths of several objects to the nearest whole unit, or by making repeated measurements of the same object. Show the measurements by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in whole-number units.
