In order to have students write informational passages according to standards, students must draw their information from a source. This kit was made with that in mind and includes a nonfiction passage followed by comprehension questions (multiple choice and written) and a matching writing prompt. The prompt asks students to draw from the information in the passage to write their own informational essay.

The passages are simple and on-level, perfect for young learners who are just beginning to practice informational writing. 2nd Grade Level Reading Passage
