Description

These daily Google Slides will guide you and your students through each lesson in the EnVision math program. I went through each topic and skill individually to create this resource for you. Using the slides as a great jumpstart to your daily math lesson. I follow the sequence taught in the student workbook, and the questions are never copied from the text. These slides are to help simplify teaching each skill and give students models, visuals, and practice as a class. Additionally, I have linked free YouTube videos for the teachers and the students, as well as other helpful links that will help you along the way. I promise to make your teaching easier as well as increase engagement with your students. You'll be able to start each day of math with ease and excitement.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Each math topic includes a title slide, as well as a table of contents slide that will directly link you to each lesson slide. No more scrolling to find the slide you need for the day. All the objectives are stated using an "I can" statement for the students. There are "Play Buttons" that will take you to videos to support the skill or objective you are working on. There are other links as well for some printables or online interactive tools. There are also slides that give students opportunities to turn and talk and to have "Math Talks" with the students. This is a great way to enhance comprehension practice, explain thinking, help with any confusion, and reinforce skills.

*Look for the other topics in my store, or you can purchase a bundle set :)

Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. Mathematically proficient students start by explaining to themselves the meaning of a problem and looking for entry points to its solution. They analyze givens, constraints, relationships, and goals. They make conjectures about the form and meaning of the solution and plan a solution pathway rather than simply jumping into a solution attempt. They consider analogous problems, and try special cases and simpler forms of the original problem in order to gain insight into its solution. They monitor and evaluate their progress and change course if necessary. Older students might, depending on the context of the problem, transform algebraic expressions or change the viewing window on their graphing calculator to get the information they need. Mathematically proficient students can explain correspondences between equations, verbal descriptions, tables, and graphs or draw diagrams of important features and relationships, graph data, and search for regularity or trends. Younger students might rely on using concrete objects or pictures to help conceptualize and solve a problem. Mathematically proficient students check their answers to problems using a different method, and they continually ask themselves, "Does this make sense?" They can understand the approaches of others to solving complex problems and identify correspondences between different approaches.
