I use this after spring break, to help prepare my first grade students for the responsibilities of second grade.
Front Page: Place for them to write down homework or reminders, place for student to check off what they have completed, and a spot for parents to initial. Below is where the students can write down their spelling words (Words Their Way), so that they will always have it with them.
Page 2: (back) A place for students to reflect how their week was. This is where I can see how my students are feeling that week, and parents can see how their children are feeling about school and what they are learning.
