Description

Hello fellow teacher!

These are perfect for fast finishers or independent work packets! This set of 25 puzzles features four different types: Rows and Columns (similar to Sodoku), Code Cracker (algebraic thinking, addition & subtraction), Rhombus puzzle (adding with regrouping) and Elimination (process of elimination, some using U.S. coins). Many of the puzzles have Spring-themed graphics but several can be used any time during the year. However, I aligned them with my pacing guides for spring of 2nd grade, so some may be difficult before coins or regrouping is taught. There are seven puzzles which are holiday-specific:

St. Patrick's Day- 2 puzzles

Easter- 4 puzzles

Ramadan-1 puzzle

** Ramadan's date moves due to the lunar calendar, and St. Patrick's Day is technically a few days before spring starts! :-)

I hope your students have fun with these!

-Ms. Beth

Key words: brain teasers, GTE, gifted, challenge
