Why I love it:
I use math journals every week in my classroom. I love how the open-ended structure of the problems gives me more insight than the homework worksheets or chapter tests. After students complete their journals we take turns sharing different solutions so students can learn more efficient strategies from their peers. They are always so engaged and seeing their work helps me plan future lessons to help students develop more sophisticated strategies or to help correct misconceptions.
