Description

This download includes 12 math journal prompts. 6 of the prompts have 3 different versions-high, medium, low.

These prompts cover the Operations and Algebraic Thinking Standard for 2nd grade (2.OA.C.4 Use repeated addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.)

I use these prompts with my students during math stations. Students glue the prompt at the top of a blank page in their notebook and complete them independently.

These math journals are a great way to get students to practice current skills or review skills independently!
