Description

Head into the spring season, dare I say, end of the year-ish season with your students with this FUN math activity that will actually get your students excited about reviewing some of the skills they've learned this year!

Topics covered?

Your 2nd grade students will practice telling time to the five minutes (and nearest minute if you're a TEKS teacher), missing addend, and counting money because we know students need many opportunities when it comes to counting money.

How does this work?

In a nutshell - students will solve the math review problems in order to generate a silly story- kind of like a mad lib story! The correct answers will generate a silly story themed around the month of April and Spring. This is a much more fun approach to regular task cards, and the students really enjoy reading the silly stories once they've solved the math problems! They get very excited to see what this month's silly story brings.

Simply post the task cards around the room or place them in a basket for math centers and let the math fun begin.

I included both color and black and white versions, as well as, a digital version (Google Slides and Seesaw options available.
