Envelope Contents:
Front: Directions for the activity.Inside**: Recording sheets for students.
Back: Answer key for self-assessment.
Task Cards:
- Punch a hole in the top left corner of each task card.
- Secure all task cards related to one activity with a ring for easy access and organization.
Starting an Activity:
- Students pick an envelope (math center) that they haven’t completed yet.
- They refer to the number on the envelope and check their hundreds chart. If the number is uncolored, they can select that center.
Working on the Activity:
- Students follow the directions on the front of the envelope.
- They complete the task using the provided task cards and record their answers on the recording sheet.
Finishing the Activity:
- After completion, students refer to the answer key on the back of the envelope to self-assess their work.
- They color the corresponding number on their hundreds chart, indicating that they have completed that particular center.
Free Time or Early Finishers:
- Students who finish their regular assignments early can choose a math center to work on.
- This allows for continuous learning and minimizes downtime.
