Description

Do you think that writing is difficult to teach, overwhelming, and time consuming?

Well, you're right.

Teaching writing is so challenging!

Let me take away the difficulty and provide you with everything you need to be successful in your writing block.

The Second Grade Personal Narrative Writing Unit is the best writing curriculum because it offers short, bite-sized lessons in a predictable format creating confident, engaged students in your writing block.

Think of me as your writing coach for the month as I walk you through the scaffolded, teacher created lessons that have been used in my own second grade classroom for three years.

This unit contains both print and digital student work options aligned with Common Core Standards. Lesson slides are bite-sized for students to grasp the day's concept and taught using an I Do, We Do, You Do gradual release framework.

You'll love the On Your Own practice printables for daily hands-on application of the lessons. I know you will also enjoy the ease of displaying the lesson slides during your writing block and students will enjoy the mentor texts (not included) chosen to fit the skills taught. Lesson plans have been written for you - each day is on one page and easy to follow.
