These task cards (printable and digital) allow students to practice 3 digit addition with sums to 1000 in an engaging and fun way! These task cards require no prep for teachers and are the perfect winter themed activity to add to your math centers. Students will see a horizontal addition equation with two 3-digit numbers and be required to solve to find the sum. Use these cards for small group lessons, independent practice or partner activities!
These task cards are available digitally through Google Slides™ and are also printable as well. They are winter themed and no prep-- just print the cards or assign digitally to use as a math center!
CCSS Alignment:
- 2.NBT.B.7 Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds.
