Description
This bundle brings together all of my linguistic investigation activities for adult ESL grammar students in one place. Each activity in the collection follows the same discovery-based model: students analyze real language examples, identify patterns, and build their understanding of how grammar works before applying what they've found.
Grammar shows up everywhere. It’s in conversations, in what students read, in what they listen to, and in what they write.
These investigations build the kind of analytical thinking that helps students recognize and use grammar accurately across all four skills, whether they're preparing for academic study, working toward professional goals, or building confidence for everyday life.

HOW TO USE THIS BUNDLE
Each investigation stands on its own, so you can pull them out in whatever order matches your curriculum. Use one to introduce a new grammar concept, drop one in when students need a change of pace, or build a unit around several related topics. They work as whole-class activities, small group investigations, or independent study tasks.
WHY THIS WORKS FOR ADULT ESL STUDENTS
Adult ESL students come to class with real-world knowledge and life experience. These investigations respect that by treating them as thinkers, not just learners. Instead of handing them a rule to memorize, each activity asks them to look at language, notice what's happening, and figure out how it works. That process of analyzing, discussing, and drawing conclusions is what internalizes the grammar.
This approach works across a wide range of student goals. Whether your students are preparing for university coursework, working toward professional communication, or building the English they need for daily life, grammar is not a separate skill. It's woven into everything they read, write, hear, and say. These investigations help students see it that way.
