This resource was designed to support the Eureka Math 3rd grade curriculum. During the concept development portion of instruction (whole group lesson) student will be able to use these guided note pages rather than white board for daily learning. I created this resource because I wanted my own students to have a physical copy of our daily learning that they were able to refer back to and even take home as needed for support in our homework. White boards are wonderful learning resources, but there is something about putting paper to pencil and having a permanent representation of their learning that just works! There is a page designed for each day of the Eureka Math curriculum with the TEKS objective written in an "I CAN" statement at the top. The notes are meant to go along side the scripted lesson prepared in the teacher's manual, however, you do not need to follow the script to use this resource. Each day has 4 boxes where students will model their thinking and practice their new skills during the concept development portion of your class. I have embedded a variety of visuals into the notes, such as number lines, arrays, number bonds, strip diagrams, and more. These were put into the notes as needed to save time and space for students that may not be the best at drawing (this is math, not art, so this scaffolding component to the notes is great for many reasons). Have students save their notes for each unit or module in a folder or glue them down in a journal as you go to document their math journey. I hope these note sets are just as transformative and supportive in your learning environment as they are in mine.
