Description

Quick check and practices for comparing fractions for third grade. These no prep activities would be great for independent work, reteach, small group, math center, or as a math review on fractions. Each practice activity is differentiated for students who need additional support in understanding the comparison of fractions.

Each lesson will have a differentiated independent work.

- One google form will be for students on-grade level and above grade level.

- The second worksheet will be for students who need a reteach or need extra support with the taught lesson.

- The quick checks are there for you to assess a student’s need, and to help you decide which small group to place your student in. It will also help you determine your instructional lesson for next time.

- The differentiated independent work forms with have (D) next to the lesson, for example Lesson 9.1 (D)

- 6 independent practice Google forms

- 6 differentiated practice forms

- 6 quick checks

- Q's in google form are similar to Q's in GoMath Chapter 9 Comparing Fractions Unit

- 9.1: Compare Fractions

- 9.2: Same Denominator

- 9.3: Same Numerator

- 9.4: Compare Fractions Using a Number Line

- 9.5: Ordering Fractions from Least to Greatest and Greatest to Least

- 9.6, 9.7 (Combined): Equivalent Fractions

Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
Represent a fraction 1/𝘣 on a number line diagram by defining the interval from 0 to 1 as the whole and partitioning it into 𝘣 equal parts. Recognize that each part has size 1/𝘣 and that the endpoint of the part based at 0 locates the number 1/𝘣 on the number line.
