Description

Quickly assess your students' mastery of the 3rd Grade Geometry standards with these Google Forms Quizzes. These math assessments focus on properties of 2D shapes and partitioning shapes into equal areas. They are easy to assign and grade.

8 EDITABLE Forms are included. They are aligned to the CCSS, but designed for you to edit/add questions to fit your state standards. These Forms are quick and easy to grade, with you only needing to grade open-ended questions.

There are two versions included for each standard so you can use them as a pre-assessment and post-assessment. Or, you can use the two versions to assess the whole class and then individual students after targeted intervention. Use the other 4 Forms to continue to spiral through the 3rd Grade Geometry standards throughout the year.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • 2 Properties of Shapes Forms 3.G.1 (Form A & B)
  • 2 Partitioning Shapes into Equal Areas Forms 3.G.2 (Form A & B)
  • 4 Geometry Spiral Review Forms

Using Google Forms allows you to easily assign specific assessments to individual students after targeted interventions. Google Forms integrates seamlessly with Google Classroom, or you're able to use the Forms link and share using other digital management systems. The included Forms options allow you to customize them to meet your classroom needs.

These Forms are versatile! You can also use them as independent practice for students. They can use them to work independently in class, checking their work. Or, assign a form for homework as a review before your curriculum's assessment.

Google Forms assignments make work easier for the students to complete and they enjoy the forms better than writing on a PDF. The forms can also be uploaded to my LMS and this saves time. Thanks for creating this resource as a Google Form.

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.
