This printable, no-prep, black and white 3rd Grade Task Cards Color by Number was carefully constructed as specific and intentional practice. Display the task cards any way you choose- musical chairs, solve the room, or even a fun scavenger hunt! Review doesn't have to be worksheets and boring drills! Kick things up a notch!

Every standard is included 3 times in each task card set. This gives students practice with a variety of question types and formats within each task card set. While each task card is multiple choice, several formats are included such as choosing which answer choice is NOT correct, or fill in the blank. Answer choices are also intentional with common, expected mistakes prevalent throughout to help ensure students truly know the skill.

With 3 different task card sets, this makes this perfect practice before each of the ILEARN Checkpoints assessment windows!

HOW IT WORKS

Cut out 1 set of task cards (12 cards) and hang them around the room and make copies of the recording sheet and corresponding coloring page. Students walk around and identify the correct answer to the multiple-choice questions. The correct answer gives students the color for that number on the coloring page.

Recording sheets are included for ease of completion as a scavenger hunt or solve the room activity. Once students have their recording sheet checked for correct answers, they can then complete the coloring sheet.

I give several ideas for changing up the activities to keep students interested and engaged. While a Scavenger Hunt was a big winner with my 3rd graders, doing the next set with a little twist, helps keep students excited about practicing reading skills!
