Description

These 3rd Grade Math Assessments come with a PRE & POST test for each unit.

These 3rd Grade Math Assessments can help you drive your instruction based on the data gained from each assessment. I utilize the Pre tests to assist in creating my homogenous ability-leveled groups for my guided math rotations. However, these assessments can be utilized if your instruction is presented whole group as well.

I utilize the Post test as a summative assessment to the unit of study. These assessments allow me to easily demonstrate to administration and parents the growth my students have made throughout the current unit of study.

I love the simple format of these assessments as they also do not overwhelm my students. It's a quick and easy assessment. My only complaint is there are no answer keys for easier grading. Would have been a much higher rating had answer keys been included.

They have an opportunity to practice the math standard. This is a great resource for standards-based tests and assessments. This has been a great addition to my math instruction to show how well students understand the standard.

Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
