These math assessments for 3rd grade will give you the data you need to lesson plan and track student progress! Assessments for math are a necessary evil, but these pre and post-tests are formatted with your third grade students in mind - minimal clipart, easy-to-read fonts, and 6 questions per page.
Included in this resource:
✅ 25 pre-test math assessments – one for each of the Common Core Standards for 3rd grade – with 6 questions each
✅ 25 post-test math assessments – small details have been changed in the post test to make them slightly different than the pre-test
✅ 5 student graphing pages (one for each domain) – your students can track their own progress in each pre/post test assessment for math to see their growth
Ideas:
- Make packets for each unit of the assessments- at only 6 questions per standard, putting a few pages together will not overwhelm!
- Use the data to help form your groups for guided math. Look at similarities in which questions your students missed.
- Put the graphing pages for tracking math assessment progress in a 3-prong folder for students to keep track of - they will enjoy being able to track their own growth!
